A Hip Hop, A Hippidy Hop...

I know I said I was on a shopping ban, but I saw this outfit and couldn't resist. Baby Sissy goes hip hop! It looks like something you would see on The Real Housewifes of Atlanta - I stayed up to 1 a.m. watching the sneak preview. Besides seeing the gorgeous insides of home, I was not impressed. I can't wait to see BS is this little number!

Meeting Reilly!

My cousin Reilly flew through Atlanta on her way to a spur of the moment trip to Prague and we were so lucky to get to spend some time with her. She had never met Harrison and of course, he was NOT on best behavior. In fact, he was a bit of a beast, but oh well. Mix Harrison's attitude with an Atlanta monsoon and we were not able to show her that many things. Harrison did get her wrapped up in a play doh game that lasted a long time. Here are a few pictures - Harrison took the last one by himself.

Message for The Little Mrs.

Here is a transcript of a chat that Harrison and I had yesterday....

A: Look Harrison there is a pear on your tree.

H: Is that my tree?

A: Yes, that is your tree and your pear.

H: Great, because when Emma comes home I am going to pick that pear for her....Emma loves pears.

A: That would be nice honey, but remember Emma is not coming back she has a new home now and she lives in Australia.

E: Nope, Emma promised me she would come back. She is coming back Mom and I am going to pick her that pear.

A: Ok, Honey!

Aren't I Lucky!

I am so lucky that I get to spend my time with two handsome boys. Amazingly, my older "boy" gets more handsome as his hair starts to turn gray, and my little boy is so adorable I often have a hard time not smooching those cheeks.

Here is a transcript of a chat I had with Harrison the other day...

A: Harrison do you and Baby Sissy want to share a room (H does not like to sleep alone)?

H: No, I will sleep upstairs in my room and Baby Sissy will sleep here (our bedroom).

A: Really, but you always sleep down here are you sure that you don't want Sissy in your room.

H: Mom, (rolling eyes) Baby Sissy isn't even here yet...will you at least give her a chance....I always get to sleep down here and she has never gotten to sleep with a mommy. Jeeeez (rolling eyes again).

Priceless!

Adoption News...(not good)

Forgot to tell everyone, after all the ups and downs we have officially been put on "hold" by our agency because of our immigration status. Do you remember how I have asked every month about being in jeopardy of being skipped and I have been told that everything is fine....well, exactly one week after a little heart to heart with my agency and being given some possitive news....I received a message that a referral will not be given until our immigration papers are renewed. Seems a bit unfair considering everything is set for immigration except our updated home study which happens on Tuesday. Needless to say if this whole process hadn't already turned me into an emotionless crabby person, I would probably be a basketcase. But now...oh well what can I do...complain? I am actually really good at that :)

Drama Mama Spends The Night...

I am a bit behind because this happened several weeks ago. Harrison wanted the Drama Mama to spend the night just like The Little Mrs. used to. Drama Mama's parents were going on a date and she came over for dinner and a fun spend the night. The kids were great and we didn't turn on the tv all night (pure luxury for me). We played, they played, I read a book, they cleaned toys and were nice to each other.

To celebrate our success, I set up Make-Your-Own Sundaes! The kids had a brand new can of Hershey's syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream, and last but not least, ice cream. They had a ball and really enjoyed their sundaes!

After sundaes and a little more playing, it was time to snuggle into bed....and, Drama Mama sure snuggles. They had a few incidents when Drama Mama really tried to spoon with Harrison and Harrison started screaming that he couldn't breathe. Hee hee - typical boy/girl relationship!

The next morning Harrison was up bright and early, but Drama Mama slept for a long time. In fact, Miss Kim called and we had to wake her up to go home. This is what we found early early in the morning before Harrison woke up...

Thanks Drama Mama for spending the night with The Minnie Mr. !!
