As most of you know, my step-dad Jack suffered a serious injury Saturday night. This was the morning of his accident. The kids were so thrilled that he came with us. We had to leave Jack as we could not change our departing tickets because the airlines were filled. This was so incredibly hard for us, but knowing that so many friends and family are looking after him has made it so much easier.

Pancake Breakfast with Santa
The Saturday before we left for China, we went to the kids' pancake breakfast at their school. They were so excited their grandpa came with them!
Hong Kong
We have made it safely to Hong Kong and we are getting a quick bite at the Burger King. Next stop The Salisbury Hotel, which hopefully has free access.

Table For One Please
I was really craving a salmon sandwich today from a local restaurant, but no one was in the office to go with me. So, I went alone. I am not a huge fan of dining alone - something that my hubby loves to do - but I do enjoy doing it a couple of times a year. Today it was cold and windy, which is my kind of cozy. Tucking away in the corner of a restaurant with my yummy salmon sounded so so perfect. When I sat down a was a little shocked...
What shocked me the most was when I sat down I looked at a little sign on my table, which had the following phrase:
He who eats alone chokes alone.
WHAT? How is that for ruining my lunch. I had to over chew every bite!

The Dudes
My little man had his two besties spend the night last night. They had so much fun, but what I did not expect is that the guys would call each other "Dude." The whole night all I heard was: "Hey Dude," "Way to go Dude," "Dude," etc. It reminded me of college!
