Good Morning Guangzhou

We arrived yesterday and the moment I went past baggage claim, I knew that I was in love. The reason???? I could see my shadow. Yes - there is sun here! We even passed a few palm trees on the way to the island.
The plane ride was uneventful - thank goodness! Sissy played and slept on my lap the entire ride and Harrison came to sit by us too. We landed with my arm around my little man and my other arm holding my little girl to my chest. It was just perfect!
I had really prepared myself to hate the White Swan. I had heard so many negative comments about it, but when we got up to my room I was in love. We have a river view and it is stunning. The hotel has changed the bedcovers to lovely white down or silk covers and with the beds pushed together we have plenty of room. Unfortunately, I fed Piper a bunch of spinach and she has had two terrible accidents on the bed. The White Swan workers are the best and have been wonderful about changing out bed covers.
Today we went to a Buddist Temple and then walked the island. I do not have too many people pictures, but here are a few from the day. We also had a great dinner at the Italian restaurant.

Oh, your post takes me back in time. I too loved Guangzhou. We stayed at the Victory Hotel but frequently visited the White Swan (had to get that red couch photo) and thought it was a lovely hotel.

Congrats :)

PS Love the Gotcha Tee

So - did you take photography classes - or are you just a brilliant at everything you do?? These pictures are just incredible. How wonderful you will have these to remember this whole experience by. Love the gotcha shirt! Our elderly neighbor has a little puppy called gotcha - because she had wanted a dog for SO long - it was all she could do to call him that when she finally got him. I know she would relate to that little top.

I am totally in love with GZ!! Our second trip, I begged the hubby to buy us an apartment there so we could call it our home!
I cried when it was time to leave. I felt like I was on a wonderful vacation.
If you are missing pizza, we ate in town at the Papa John's. It was the BEST! I even ate salad without any tummy troubles. Have your guide take you on a walking tour of the medicinal markets. VERY FUN, and just around the corner from Papa John's.
Everyone looks AWESOME! and HAPPY! Praise God! Enjoy yourselves!
Loving the "Gotcha shirt". Too cute!!!
Hugs from Fayetteville, Georgia~
